SUMMARY:Holiday Pumpkin Pie Secrets- livestreamed class
DESCRIPTION:Bewildered by all the choices of heirloom pumpkins for your pies? We’ll chat about characteristics of a variety of pumpkins\, winter squash and sweet potatoes then learn how to roast and ready them for your holiday pies. Decorative crust elements\, baking secrets\, flavor variations and recipes (including Barb’s pie crust recipe) included. 4 pm ET. \nAbout the teachers: The class will be taught by mother-daughter team Barbara Swell and Annie Erbsen. Barbara is the author of the best-selling cookbook The Lost Art of Pie Making Made Easy\, which has sold about 500\,000 copies. She’s been teaching pie-making classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School and at Log Cabin Cooking for 20 years. Annie works as a cookbook editor\, teaches cooking classes at the John C. Campbell Folk School\, and worked as a pastry chef in Ireland. \nHOW THE CLASS WORKS: You’ll be able to see and hear us\, but we won’t be able to see or hear you (so stay in those comfy sweatpants if you wish). The class will last about an hour\, and we encourage you to ask questions and share comments in the chat section. You’ll also be able to download class materials\, and you can replay the video as much as you want afterwards (it’ll be up for at least a month). \nRegister and hold your spot today! We highly recommend that you log in and get set up 10 minutes before the class starts\, so you don’t miss out on any of the class time. We’ll be there to say hello and welcome everyone! \nYou are welcome to follow along and bake with us as we go. However\, the class is structured so you can watch it live\, then bake later. You can replay the video as many times as you want after the broadcast for the rest of the month. \n~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ \nFind out more about our Barbara Swell & our small family cookbook and music book publisher at www.nativeground.com\, and check out Barb’s blog at www.logcabincooking.com.  If you have questions about the class\, please reach out to us at info@nativeground.com.
